Fees & Billing Options
My prices are based on the GOÄ (General Fee Schedule for Medical Fees), which is also used by medical therapists with statutory health insurance approval. For example, the standard rate for 50 minutes of depth psychology-based psychotherapy is €92.50. In fact, I charge significantly less, namely €80 per 50 minutes and only €150 for a double session of 100 minutes.
My Fees
What is suitable for whom?Initial ConsultationWe get to know each other and find out if and (if so) how we can approach the topic (anamnesis and treatment plan). 50 minutes | Free |
Individual LessonIn regular individual lessons (e.g., weekly), you can work intensively on the topic over a period of time. The respective impulses from the individual lessons can be easily integrated into everyday life and “practiced” there. A first therapy block should ideally consist of 5 – 10 individual sessions. 50 min. | 100 Euro |
Double SessionDouble sessions provide more space to address deeper issues. They can also be combined with the series of individual sessions. Double sessions are often very helpful, especially at the beginning of a therapy series and when working with couples. Alternatively, there is also the option of holding double sessions every 14 days (e.g., if the travel time is long). 2 x 50 min. |
170 Euro |
Half-Day SessionHere, even deeper issues can be addressed in one session. Especially with emotionally stressful topics or in cases of strong resistance, this makes it possible to reach inner areas that would otherwise be difficult to access. 4 hours total e.g. 9 – 13 Uhr | 350 euros |
Full-day sessionA very high level of intensity can be achieved in the full-day sessions. This requires a strong desire on your part for engagement and change. Especially with deep-rooted or very complex topics, the day session can have a great impact. There are sufficient breaks for integration, and lunch is included. with lunch e.g. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
700 euros |
Multi-day sessionSimilar to the full-day session, but more intensive, the topic can be worked on with the utmost intensity. It is also possible to stay overnight in our guest house, and all meals are provided. By appointment |
Couple sessions
I also offer sessions for couples; these cost a 30% surcharge on the above fees. For example, a single lesson costs €130.
Groups
I regularly offer one-day and multi-day groups – both individual events and ongoing groups. Appointments, topics, and prices can be found here.
Information on reimbursement of your psychotherapeutic treatment by health insurance companies
As a general rule, services provided by psychotherapists without health insurance approval must be paid for out of your own pocket. However, there are exceptions:
Statutory Health Insurance Companies (GKV)
Treatments by alternative practitioners for psychotherapy are generally not covered by statutory health insurance. Exceptions are rare and only in cases of proven need for therapy and simultaneous proof that no statutory medical treatment is available in the near future (“reimbursement procedure”). This procedure is complex and must be clarified with the insurance company in advance.
If you have statutory health insurance and have taken out supplementary insurance, alternative practitioner services may be reimbursable. It is important to check the maximum amount covered by your supplementary insurance. I do NOT charge according to the German Fee Schedule (GebüH) but according to the German Fee Schedule (GÖÄ). Any differences would then have to be borne by you. It may therefore be a good idea to take out such supplementary insurance BEFORE treatment begins.
Transparency note: My treatments are outside the scope of so-called “guideline psychotherapy” and are therefore not included in the benefits catalog of statutory health insurance companies. If you have any questions about billing or reimbursement, please feel free to contact me.
Private Health Insurance (PKV)
Depending on your plan, the costs may be fully or partially covered. Please check your contract terms and clarify reimbursement options with your insurance provider before starting treatment. Tip: Get written confirmation of cost coverage.
